Public Infrastructure Advisory Board

The city of Rio Rancho is seeking applicants to fill the seats on its newly created Public Infrastructure Advisory Board.  The board will consist of one resident from each of the six City Council Districts and one resident at-large. 

Individuals interested in serving as a volunteer on the board must submit an application form and résumé to the Office of the City Clerk.  Those interested can apply via the city’s website (see below) or submit their documentation to the Office of the City Clerk at Rio Rancho City Hall.  Residents are encouraged to apply by Dec. 20, 2016.  Applications will be accepted until all the positions are filled.

The board will have several responsibilities such as providing road, drainage, and water and wastewater utilities input to the Governing Body in relation to annual budgets and capital improvements, proposed rate and charge adjustments, and financing proposals.  The board will meet quarterly at a minimum with the specific times and dates determined after board membership is established.  The initial board members will serve terms in the following manner: one member shall serve a one-year term; three members shall serve a two-year term; and three members shall serve a three- year term. The designated term length for each board member will be determined by lot.
