The city of Rio Rancho is seeking applicants to fill three vacancies on the Lodger’s Tax Advisory Board. The open seats on the board must be filled by residents who are owners or operators of lodgings subject to the occupancy tax with the city or are owners operators of industries located within the city that primarily provide services or products to tourists.
The board has several duties which include advising the Governing Body on the expenditure of funds generated by lodger’s tax for advertising, publicizing, and promoting tourist attractions and facilities in the City and surrounding area. Board meetings take place on the first Thursday of every other month (February, April, June, August, October, and December) at 10 a.m. at Rio Rancho City Hall, 3200 Civic Center Circle.
Individuals interested in applying and serving as a volunteer on the board for a three-year term must submit an application form and résumé to the Office of the City Clerk.Applications can be obtained by visiting the Clerk’s office inside Rio Rancho City Hall or using the links below. Those interested in applying to serve on the board are encouraged to do so before April 16, 2021.Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
