During August and September, the City of Rio Rancho will host six public meetings where residents are invited to attend, learn more about the City’s Comprehensive Plan, and provide input on how the City should develop in the next 20 years.
The City’s Comprehensive Plan is essentially a guide for future development decision making and is a statement of how a community desires to grow, with respect to population growth, housing, transportation, land use, public facilities, economic development, etc. In 2001, with input from the public, the City developed the Vision 2020 Integrated Comprehensive Plan. Since that time, the plan has been reviewed and amended every five years or so.
The public meetings will be held in an open discussion format with a brief presentation and then a forum in which residents can share their input.
The meeting times, dates, and locations are:
•Thursday, August 9 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Fire Station #5 in Enchanted Hills, 5301 Santa Fe Hills Blvd NE
