Library Card Design Contest

Rio Rancho Public Libraries (RRPL) is holding an art contest for a new limited edition library card. Anyone living in New Mexico may participate. Entries will be accepted January 15-February 15, 2020. Only one submission per person, please. No late submissions will be accepted. 

Three finalists will be selected by a committee during the week of February 17, 2020, and then the public will vote on the winning design February 21-29, 2020. The winner will be notified by March 6, 2020. The winning design will be revealed in June 2020 at the kick-off to the 2020 Imagine Your Story summer reading program as well as on the Library’s website and social media accounts.

Terms and Conditions

(1) I confirm that the artwork submitted is my own/child’s artwork and property is not subject to copyright, trademark, or ownership by any other person. 

(2) I permit Rio Rancho Public Libraries to use the image I submit for the purpose of the library card design process. This includes reformatting content, but is limited to resizing the image and adding text to meet the needs of the library card process. Any further use of the submitted content, beyond the use for library cards, will be subject to additional approval of the content owner. 

(3) The contest winner will receive a $25 gift card for a local restaurant. 

(4) Submissions become the property of RRPL and will not be returned. 

(5) The winner agrees to be featured in Library marketing materials, including social media.

All informational fields must be completed on this application or it will not be accepted for judging. Your information will be available only to authorized library personnel for the purposes of this contest. Members of the selection committee are ineligible to participate.
