Sandoval County’s Office of Business Development and Tourism is working to help local businesses thrive by hosting the first marketing workshop for home office-based entrepreneurs on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at the El Zocalo Event Center from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Participation in the workshop is free and will be paid for with funds from a $10,000 grant received through the State of New Mexico Economic Development Department. The Feb. 28 workshop, with a presentation by Director of Marketing and Communications Tiffany Avery, from Sandoval Economic Alliance, will focus on how home office-based entrepreneurs can develop a custom business marketing plan. Specifically, the workshop will focus on the following topics:
- Defining your marketing goals – What would you like to accomplish?
- Determining your target audience – Who are your perspective clients/customers?
- Selecting marketing channels – What are the best ways to communicate with your audience?
- Developing key messages – How do I create clear, consistent messages to use over and over?
- Creating an action plan – How to I create an actual marketing plan and timeline?
- Measuring Results – How and when do I adjust my marketing plan for maximum engagement?
In addition to answering and discussing the questions and topics above, participants will walk away from the workshop with a workable and actionable marketing plan for their home office-based business. We’ll also have marketing experts on hand to offer their expertise and answer questions.
The workshop will be held at the El Zocalo Event Center located at 264 S. Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM 87004. Please go to the Visitor’s Center upon arrival, and then you’ll see the event signage. Seating is limited and registration is encouraged. Those who wish to attend may register by calling Wendy Ederer at (505) 238-3004 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Again, the workshop is free to attend.
