Dear Rio Rancho residents:
This election cycle, Rio Rancho’s voters overwhelmingly affirmed their willingness to invest in their community. The approval of the City’s two general obligation bond questions—with 77% support for the road bonds and 73% support for the public safety bonds—communicates the voters’ belief of how critical these investments are to maintaining our status as the best city in New Mexico.
On March 20, City staff will present to the Mayor and City Councilors preliminary plans for completing these construction projects and vehicle acquisitions. We realize that we have earned the public’s trust through the City’s actions and performance over the past several years. We are committed to keeping this trust as we use the funds you have provided to address your public service needs.
Thank you to the residents who supported these bond proposals and to all residents who voted. With your support, we can continue our efforts to make Rio Rancho the outstanding community we know it to be.
