Summer Reading for All Ages at Rio Rancho Libraries

The City of Rio Rancho and its Library and Information Services Division’s Summer Reading Program is almost here! Online registration begins at the libraries’ website, www.riorancholibraries.org on June 11. The Summer Reading Program kick-off date is Monday, June 11, at the Loma Colorado Library, and Thursday, June 14, at the Esther Bone Memorial Library.

This year, the summer reading theme is “Libraries Rock” and throughout the summer there will be programs and activities for all ages focused on this theme. More information about the Summer Reading Program and these individual programs can be found by visiting the libraries’ website or by calling either library (505-891-5013 for Loma Colorado/505-891-5012 for Esther Bone).

The summer reading program will run until July 31. All members of the community are invited to earn prizes by reading books and having fun at the library. Children and teens will have the opportunity to earn books and enter into a drawing for a gift basket. Adults will earn entries in weekly drawings for amazing prizes. All youth summer reading participants will receive a themed summer reading tote bag when summer reading kicks-off at either Rio Rancho library. Gifts will be subject to availability.

The registration gifts are generously donated by The Friends of the Library of Rio Rancho. Other summer reading community partners include Sandoval #76 Masonic Lodge and the Rio Rancho Public School librarians.

The Loma Colorado Main Library is located at 755 Loma Colorado Blvd., and the Esther Bone Memorial Library is located at 950 Pinetree Road.
