Rio Rancho Public Libraries is excited to announce that the Loma Colorado Main Library will be hosting an Educator Open House on Tuesday, October 2, at 6:00 PM. This is an opportunity for local educators to get to know how the public library can support them in the classroom.
The library will introduce its STEM equipment loan program, educator library cards, free online resources, and more. This is also an opportunity to get to know Rio Rancho’s youth librarians. Refreshments will be provided with the support of the Friends of the Library of Rio Rancho.
The Youth Services Department of Rio Rancho Public Libraries offers the greater Rio Rancho community a wide assortment of programs and services that enrich and support young people and their families; including multiple age appropriate storytimes, music and movement based enrichment opportunities, hands-on learning opportunities for elementary aged youth, and volunteer opportunities for teenagers. At the library, youth can also learn how to code, use a 3D printer, and create with STEM learning manipulatives. Youth Services librarians bring learning and literacy experiences out into the community at preschools, elementary, middle, and high schools, and local parks.
Rio Rancho Public Libraries provide the Rio Rancho community with resources and enriching experiences that facilitate individual and community growth. The Loma Colorado Main Library is located at 755 Loma Colorado Boulevard NE., and the Esther Bone Memorial Library is located at 950 Pinetree Road.
