Applications Sought for Rio Rancho Board/Committee Vacancies

The City of Rio Rancho is seeking applications from residents interested in serving as a volunteer on City of Rio Rancho boards or committees. Residents are encouraged to apply by May 1, 2019, and must submit an application form and résumé to the Office of the City Clerk. Applications can be obtained by visiting the Clerk’s office inside City Hall, or by visiting rrnm.gov/applicationform. Applications will be accepted and considered until the positions are filled. Please see below for a list of positions.

Arts Commission – Council District 2; 3-year term

The City of Rio Rancho is seeking applications from residents with professional experience or knowledge in an art-related discipline.

Keep Rio Rancho Beautiful Committee – Council District 2; 3-year term

Seeking applications from residents interested in improving the quality of life in the community by focusing specifically on recycling, litter prevention, beautification, environmental education, and solid waste handling practices.

Lodgers Tax Advisory Board – 2 seats; 3-year term

Seeking applications from residents who are owners or operators of lodgings subject to the occupancy tax with the city or who are owners operators of industries located within the city that primarily provide services or products to tourists.

Parks and Recreation Commission – 3 seats (Council Districts 2, 4, and 5); 3-year term

Seeking applications from residents who are interested in ensuring the efficient, economical, and comprehensive planning of parks and recreation.

Planning and Zoning Board—4 seats (Council Districts 1, 3, 4, and 6); 3-year term

Seeking applications from residents who are interested in promoting a comprehensive planning process with the general purpose of guiding and accomplishing a coordinated, adjusted, aesthetically appealing and harmonious development of the city.

Public Infrastructure Advisory Board—3 seats (Council Districts 2, 3, and 6); 3-year term

Seeking applications from residents who are interested in providing input to the Governing Body regarding the proposed annual operating and capital improvement budget in relation to roads, drainage, and the water and wastewater utilities system.

Senior Services Advisory Board– 3 seats (Council Districts 1, 2, and 6); 3-year term

Seeking applications from residents interested in the efficient and economical management and operation of Rio Rancho’s senior services programs and facilities.
