Rio Rancho Bosque Trail Improvement Project begins April 1.
- Construction work on the Bosque Improvement Project in Rio Rancho will begin on April 1, and is expected to be completed by or before May 15, 2019.
- Hours of construction will be from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily, excluding weekends.
- Large, heavy equipment will be moving throughout the North Beach parking lot and trail north of the parking lot.
- NO PUBLIC ACCESS ON OR ADJACENT TO THE TRAIL is required for the safety of all for this short period of time.
The Trail Improvement project will improve and define approximately 1 mile of 8-10 foot wide bosque trail by placing approximately 4 inches of compacted, stabilized crusher fines along the project route.
Project work will take place north from the North Beach parking lot, following the trail alignment to the Middle Rio Rancho Bosque, then north/north west along the drainage easement to Willow Creek Road in the Middle Bosque area. A temporary closure of the trails and foot paths north of the North Beach parking lot to the Middle Bosque will be in effect while project work is taking place.
The Rio Rancho Bosque Trail Improvement Project is funded by the City of Rio Rancho through Trail Impact Fee funds.
