The Drug Enforcement Agency is coordinating another opportunity for the public to surrender pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications to law enforcement officers for destruction.
Collection boxes and the retrieval of surrendered pharmaceuticals will be provided by DEA.
Destruction of the materials will be accomplished in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

Self-Defense for Women is taking steps to protect yourself from violent crime.
We will address some of the keys to self-protection. Additional topics we will cover are; being safe at home, practicing street smarts, safety on trips, using caution on dates and in relationships, what to do if a sexual assault has occurred, ideas on protecting yourself from violent crime, and responding to a physical attack. The presentation will be provided by Police Officers from the Rio Rancho Police Department, Training Section.
