City Manager Matt Geisel has provided the Recommended Fiscal Year 2024 (FY 24) Budget for municipal government operations and services and the Capital Program (FY 24-29) to the Mayor and City Council. The FY 24 budget spans July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024.

Per the City’s Charter, the Mayor of Rio Rancho has until April 25 to review the recommended budget and capital program and submit written comments to the City Manager. View the Mayor's comments.
The Recommended FY 24 Budget and Capital Program will be reviewed by the Governing Body (Mayor and City Council) at a budget hearing on Friday, April 28, from 9 a.m. to noon at City Hall (3200 Civic Center Circle). The hearing will be streamed live and archived on the City’s website.
The Governing Body will take public comment on the FY 24 Recommended Budget and Capital Program during its regular monthly meetings at City Hall on May 11 and May 25 at 6 p.m. A vote to adopt a budget for FY 24 and Capital Program will occur at the Governing Body’s May 25 meeting.
