The purpose of the
City of Rio Rancho Consolidated Plan for 2018-2022 (ConPlan) is to assess the City’s housing and community development needs; analyze the City’s housing market; establish housing and community development priorities, goals, and strategies for addressing the identified needs; and define the resources available for addressing the needs and implementing the strategies. Additionally, the ConPlan allocates funds to implement specific goals established in the Assessment of Fair Housing, which the City of Rio Rancho carried out in 2017 in partnership with the City of Albuquerque and the Albuquerque Housing Authority.
The Consolidated Plan meets the federal regulations that guide the Community Development Block Grant. Those regulations require the City to revise its Consolidated Plan every five years and provide regular updates by preparing an Annual Action Plan.
