This project consists of design for Kim Road from Idalia Road to NM 528 (Pat D'Arco Hwy). The design will include preliminary through final design, right-of-way mapping, environmental report, and roadway design for a 2-lane road with either a center continuous 2-way left turn lane or a median with turn bays, striping, lighting, utility infrastructure including storm, water, and sewer design and analysis.
Throughout the life of this design project it may become necessary to conduct site work such as environmental review, and SUE (Subsurface Utility Engineering), if this work requires traffic control setup notice and plans detailing any detours will be published on this project page.
Project status:
January 2026: Review and discussion of access, roadway typical sections including access to future Streets & Right of Way facility
December 2025: Finalized public involvement plan
November 2025: Draft public involvement plan
October 2025: Preliminary design continues, some initial site survey work has been completed.
