New Library Materials

The Rio Rancho Public Library (RRPL) encourages everyone to have a library card and provides a number of card types to meet the needs of all patrons. New Mexico residents who provide photo ID and proof of address receive cards with full privileges. Other cards are available for children, out-of-state visitors, and those who do not have photo ID or proof of address. Find additional library card information here.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a cooperative service among libraries for obtaining items not owned by local libraries. The Rio Rancho Public Library lends and borrows items in the contiguous United States. Interlibrary Loan Request Form needs to be filled out for each item requested. More info here.
Library of Things
The Rio Rancho Library's 'Library of Things' is designed to support lifelong learning and creativity by providing the physical tools to explore new areas of interest and learn new skills. The Seed Library is a collection of fruit, vegetable and flower seeds that you can borrow to plant at home. The Seed Library is also a place for you to return/exchange seeds you have harvested for others to borrow and plant. Seed libraries are available in the lobbies at both Rio Rancho libraries. Please only take what you will use. The seed collection is dependent on donations and availability. Different seeds will be available at different times during the year, check back often to see what is available. New Mexico Family Pass
Available at all library branches, the New Mexico Family Pass opens the doors to 15 museums and historic sites. From Native American treasures to space exploration, world-class folk art to super dinosaurs, ancient sites to the state-of-the-art New Mexico History Museum - our museums and historic sites celebrate the essence of New Mexico! Passes can be checked out by patrons 18+ for 21 days, and used multiple times to admit up to 6 people at a time.

Computers, Fax, Printing & Copier
Computers, printing, scanning, copying, and wireless internet access are available for use at all library branches with no fee. Fax service is available at the Loma Colorado and Esther Bone library branches. More info here.
Meeting and Study Rooms
The Rio Rancho Public Library provides public meeting spaces. Local, civic, community or non-profit organizations are welcome to use these rooms for meetings during open library hours. More info here.
Local History Room
The Rio Rancho Local History Collection has developed over several years and continues to grow with donations of books, posters, flyers, and memorabilia from generous community members. The collection contains is housed in the Local History Room located in the southeast corner of the Loma Colorado Main Library. More info here.
The Loma Colorado Main Library offers test proctoring at no charge. All proctoring is done by a librarian and must start a half hour after library opening and finish a half hour before library closing. More info here.

Twice Read Tales Bookstore
Browse our large inventory of adult fiction and nonfiction books, teen books, and children's books, plus DVD's and CD's. The inventory is constantly changing so check often for new items.
(Hours are subject to change based on availability of bookstore staff)

Donations are accepted 24/7 using the shed in the back parking lot at the Loma Colorado Main Library.
