Aquatics
Due to monthly maintenance, the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center will not open until 1:30 pm on Monday, March 1. Reservations for March 2 will begin at 12 noon on Monday, March 1.
Reserve a pool lane at the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center by calling (505) 891-5230. Twenty lanes (eleven for lap swim and nine for water walking) will be available to reserve in one hour increments. Reservations are taken from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and between 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday's.

Fitness Classes
*During this time we are not instructing any classes. We will update once we begin offering classes.
All fitness classes take place at the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center located at 745 Loma Colorado Blvd. Rio Rancho, New Mexico 87124.
Class Membership:
- $30 a month adults up to age 54, $27 for Seniors 55 and up
- Unlimited classes first come first served.
- $5 drop-in fee
- Membership fee due by the 5th of every month
- All classes ages 15 and up
- Classes are subject to change
Indoor Cycling
Whether you’re an experienced outdoor cyclist or your feet haven’t touched the pedals since you were a kid indoor group cycling has something for you. Cycling provides you with a fantastic cardiovascular workout which is key to a healthy body and strong heart. Padded cycling shorts and heart rate monitors are recommended but not required. All fitness levels are welcome. Please notice the new format for our classes below.
*Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to allow for proper bike set-up.

- 9:00 a.m. - Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays
- 6:00 p.m. - Tuesdays and Thursdays

This class is the perfect combination of heart pumping cardio and resistance training. You'll hit every muscle group as you burn calories zipping through stations of different fitness equipment that may include TRX Suspension Ropes, Kettlebells, medicine balls, jump ropes, and weights. This class is ideal for both men and women of all fitness levels who want total body results in a limited amount of time.

- 6:00 p.m. - Mondays and Wednesdays

A hybrid class that combines the practice of yoga and Pilates, as well as the principals of stretch, strength training, conditioning and dynamic movement. In this hour long class you will get the benefits of muscle sculpting, core firming and fat burning from this low impact workout..

Essentrics is a low-intensity fitness program that strengthens and lengthens all 650 muscles in the body. This full bodytechnique works through the muscle chains, liberating and empowering the muschles and relieving them from tension in the process. This workout draws on the flowing movements of tai chi which create health and balance. The strengthening theories behind ballet which create long, lean, flexible muscles and the healing principles and physical therapy which create a pain free body.

Enjoy a gentle flow in motion followed by a substantial and soothing sequence of seated poses that leave you feeling complete and nourished. Personal mats are encouraged but not required.

Known as the Zumba Pool Party, the Aqua Zumba program gives new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. Integrating the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, the Aqua Zumba class blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that's cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief.

This low impact, high/low intensity water class is perfect for all ages and fitness levels. Class is held in the shallow water activity pool.

Tone and sculpt your body with no impact to your joints. Enjoy a safe, challenging workout that blends cardio and resistance training utilizing resistance with buoyant water weights.

This class is similar to Aqua Fitness but held in deeper water. Class is held in the competition pool.
